B.A., M.A., Ph.D. – Columbia University, New York City.

 

Professional Experience:

Taught French Literature with specialty in the French Renaissance at the University of Pittsburgh as full professor. Retired as professor emeritus in 1997.

 

Art Education:

 

Fleisher Art Memorial, Philadelphia 2000-2003; workshops in still life with Christine Lafuente, portrait painting with Stanley Bielen and Patrick Conners, anatomy with Al Gury, figure painting with Carolyn Pyfrom.

Woodmere Art Museum, 2004, workshops in portrait painting with Paul DuSold and in a non-traditional approach to painting with Stuart Shils.

I began showing my work in 2002 in juried exhibitions and members’ shows at the Plastic Club in Philadelphia, at the Philadelphia Sketch Club, and at the Creative Arts Center in Chatham, Massachusetts.

My work has also been seen at Homeworks Design in Westchester, Pennsylvania, the Station Gallery in Greenville, Delaware, and at the Munson Gallery, in Chatham, MA. It is currently on view at the Harvest Gallery, Dennis, MA.
