My website focuses almost exclusively on the landscapes of Cape Cod–where I have been summering for more than a quarter-century–and the urban industrial landscape of Philadelphia and its region, where I reside the rest of the year. In addition, I have included some examples of landscapes drawn from my travels in Mexico and New Mexico.

Although I often make use of photography in the process of making landscape paintings, I do not seek photographic accuracy or fidelity to photographic "reality." Rather, what interests me in landscape painting is the poetry of landscape: the thoughts and feelings, the moods and world views that color, light, and abstract form convey to the viewer through the medium of paint.
